"The Yellow City" - Izamal, Mexico - Photo

Izamal, Mexico on the Yucatan peninsula is known as both “The Yellow City” and “The City of Hills”. The first nickname is obvious as many of the buildings in the town including its famous monastery are painted yellow. The second is because the city has many hills which are actually un-excavated Mayan temples.
